Final Product & Feedback

Image
Final Product & Feedback The feedback that I received are constructive and helpful. The first question was which one of the drafts is better because I made three drafts of my final product until I found the one that I liked the most, and majority picked advert 1 to be the better one out of the three. I have to disagree because the last draft has a lot a more in terms of title, slogan, client's logo etc. The next question was 'what do you like about the advert?' the answers were mainly about the placing of texts and social media logos and the client's logo, I do agree with these responses because the print adverts got better when I put them on my advert and makes it more eye-catching to potential visitors who might be interested visiting Sunderland. The final question from this forum is 'what changes would you make?' and the responses are mixed, some said to make the bar code smaller, changing the font, and no changes at all; personally I think that my final ...

Production and Post-Production Diary

Image
Production Diary 30/09/2021: One of the first things when starting with this project is the client research. The client is called Sunderland Culture which is an organisation to improve or change the people's perspectives about Sunderland in general and I also had to research about the history of the client which it started in 2016 as partnership set up by Sunderland City Council. One of the things that I had to research about is the target audience and the audience are ages between 16-25 and any race, colour, and religion, the aim is to change people's perspective about the city by showing them what is considered the most popular places in Sunderland. 05/01/2022: The next thing that I had to do after client research is location scouting which is where I pick the places that could be one of my background or main image of my print advert and explain the possible disadvantages when going to these places, the first one that I choose is the city centre because people go there for s...

Print Advert Schedule

Print Advert Schedule 11/04/2022: The first day of taking photos for my print advert. I'm going to places that are mentioned in my blog and I'll be taking a tone of pictures of chosen places that will be on my print advert and chose which of these pictures are perfect for my final product and start to Photoshop. 12/04/2022: After I'm done having a look at the pictures and choosing the perfect one, I will sort of experiment with the print adverts and changing the layout, basically experimenting around until I found the one that I like and put those experiments in my production diary to show the steps and progress of my print advert. 13/04/2022: When I have chosen the layout for my print advert and taking pictures of the preferred locations, I will start editing my three print adverts and each of them will have different image as their main background for example the first print will have the Stadium of Light, the second will have Wearmouth Bridge and the final print advert...

Flat Plan

Image
Flat Plan I'm going to be using a flat plan to plan my work for the final project for B2. In this flat plan, I will be writing tones of potential ideas for my final project and after I'm done writing my ideas out, I will chose of which one of these ideas would be a good idea for my final design etc. I think the flat plan will help me on this project because when I planning, I get the chance to choose which one of these ideas that I thought of would be better for the final product and take those idea into the final product. I'm planning to make three print adverts of the most popular places in Sunderland and I think these places that I have chosen would probably garner more visitors to the city. Examples: In this first example, I will probably will put the main title or slogan at the top because I have seen many posters that have their slogans or titles at the top as by doing that, will catch attention to potential audience who would want to visit the city. The details will ...

Location Scouting

Image
Location Scouting 1) Sunderland City Centre:  My first potential location is the Sunderland City Centre. The reason why this location is one of the potential locations is because it is simply one of the most popular and well known places in Sunderland, there is a tone of space to film or using it as background for a print advert. The only problem that I might have with this location is people will probably not appreciate me taking pictures or film without their permission so I will probably have to reconsider of me filming the city centre while some people might not appreciate of me taking a photo of the city centre.   2) Wearmouth Bridge: Another potential candidate to be the background of my print advert is the Wearmouth Bridge because it is probably the most photographed places in Sunderland due to its surroundings, the bridge especially looks really beautiful at night when the lights of lamp posts in both top and bottom of the bridge and nearby apartment makes the bridge m...

Risk Assessment

Image
Risk Assessment is to point out the dangers when doing these group projects or individual project so that students when using college equipment, need to be careful with any tripping hazards so always watch out when you walk in the filming studio. It is really important to know the possible dangers while using any of the college's premises and equipment because you will be prepared and avoiding of  any these dangers when using the required equipment and premises. Risk Assessment is another way for any particular college showing their concern over student's safety and by the students pointing out the possible dangers, the college can be assured that the students will take care of themselves when doing any filming outside or inside of college.

Pitch

Image
Sunderland Culture Pitch Client: Sunderland Culture is a organisation to improve the City of Sunderland and changing people’s perspectives about Sunderland. They are holding a exhibition in the glass centre and it will be called 'Who am I?' The exhibition will also be held in Sunderland Museum and Winter Gardens in  Mowbray Park. I've been asked to explore around and develop ideas for my own media work relating to 'Rational Identity' which explores the question 'Who am I?' My Idea: My idea is for creating a print advert for Sunderland Culture. The plan is I'll include the places that Sunderland Culture shows on their website such as, National Glass Centre, Sunderland Museum & Winter Gardens and Northern Gallery for Contemporary Art. In the middle, the main title will be 'Visit Sunderland!' in order to attract audience to visit and the Sunderland Culture logo will be in the top of the text. This will appeal to my audience because there will ...
